Nexira offers Oli-Ola, an organic olive extract standardized in hydroxytyrosol, a very potent form of polyphenol with strong antioxidant properties. This antioxidant has been shown to help decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease by preventing oxidation of low-density lipoprotein. Oli-Ola’s hydroxytyrosol meets the specifications of the positive opinion from EFSA (April 2011), which approved claims for protection of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) from oxidative damage.
Nexira also has access to a unique source of ancient olive trees in the Southern Mediterranean region whose olive groves, and most of the trees in it, are several centuries old. They grow wild, allowing a high content of hydroxytyrosol, ultimately producing 100 % natural olive extract which is organic as well.
